"We had a great time at buddies and not only just the restaurant but we both have to work it was kind of fun after a few years. The view from the front all over the lake is beautiful and just all-around great service we had a waitress name Laney and she was great. We ha pizza on our second visit and the crust is great pizza is nice too."

"Nice place for lunch. Nice view of Jordan Lake. My wife had a reuban sandwich and I had a taco salad. She liked her sandwich. She opted for asparagus instead of chips and said the asparagus was good. I chose the taco salad with a huge amount of ground meat. Not a traditional taco salad, no guacamole or refried beans, but it was satisfactory."

"Our riding group hits this place at least once a year but this was our first time here. It is open with plenty of seating and lots of windows, so nice lighting. We were here about 2pm and there weren't many people. It was quiet and pleasant. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently. I had the Meat Lovers Pizza, he had the Reuben with house made chips. The pizza was very good. The crust I believe was hand tossed, not too thick not super thin and was perfectly cooked. The sauce was not overpowering and it was generously topped with very flavorful meats. The Reuben had a generous amount of thick beef slices that were well flavored and very tender. The sauerkraut was not overpowering and it was served with more house-made chips than he could eat. They were thin and crunchy, not the thick hard kind. They were quite tasty. We will definitely be returning"

"Nice place to stop by the lake and have lunch or dinner. Staff are great and always attentive . Drinks and beer selection were good. Also has outside dining and an upper deck with a view of the lake. The most unique feature about the place, is it has a 10 or 12 Lane bowling alley inside of it in the back. Would definitely stop there again!"

"We had a party of 6 and everything was amazing! In August we drove from Ionia and some from Grand Rapids and we all said it is now our new favorite place. Taco salad was delicious and the taco's were excellent and burgers were great!!! All smiles!!! Added later, we went back yesterday and had an amazing lunch. Can't wait to go back again!!"

"Location Location Location. Lake Odessa may not be where you'd think it would be, but in this case right on the Public Beach with a great view of the water, Buddy's has it. The atmosphere is very rustic, but in a tasteful way. It feels friendly and inviting. I ordered the Cowboy Burger ($13). This is a 6oz patty with Pepper jack cheese, bacon, crispy fried onions, and bourbon sauce on a Pretzel bun. I ordered it medium. The burger came correctly cooked and was delicious. It was juicy and the meat was of a good quality. I was worried that 6oz would be too small, but it was a perfect size. I upgraded to fries ($2). They were good, but nothing special. The person I was with ordered the Wolverine Burger ($12). This is also a 6oz patty with bleu cheese, bacon, crispy fried onions, and mustard on a Brioche bun. It was ordered Medium Rare and was cooked perfectly. It was stated to be excellent, and thoroughly enjoyed. The Service was adequate. Not the best ever, but friendly and efficient-ish considering she was the only inside waitress. Food came out quickly and my drink was refilled without asking, so kudos to that. Overall a 5 star review. I could knock off a tenth of a star or 2, but that would be looking for problems vs actual problems. Would I return? Absolutely. Great view with Great food."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good as well However when I received the bill I was charged more for each item that we ordered compared to what was stated pricing on the menu. I understand that with our current economy everything has went up but I feel these price increases should be noted in the menu"
